I believe Sergey Aleynikov was proud of his work and simply wanted to take home with him a (metaphor) snapshot of his "baby" (creation) , like he or anyone would remove photos of loved ones they keep on their desk when they clear out their office. What he took was his creation and not compatible with any other system. Does Goldman also want to wipe Aleynikov's brain as well?
