Why is it when the dollars get large it takes 6  months since Mayor Bloomberg asked for the money back that we still don't have the money, or is to take the political pressure of to ask and then not get the money. Note,  SAIC in its last financial report had plenty money to estimate the loss from legal fees and administrative costs to the tune of 232K on their Q3 8k, none of that allocated to the City of New York.

p.s.  Folks!  Mike Bloomberg allowed our NY Pensions to be so abused and poorly handled besides raided along with Bill Thompson so my question is why, oh why are we allowing Mike Bloomberg to restructure pensions now?

My answer is because his pals like Steve Rattner are down raiding them!  Mike still keeps Steve Rattner on his private payroll not NYC gov like many of his pals even though Steve pleaded the 5th 63 times!!!!!!!

Of the remaining companies, AIG repeatedly insisted on the biggest pay packages and represented 80% of Feinberg’s “headaches,” the audit said.

The company received more than $180 billion in federal bailout money in 2008, and even today, after paying back billions, it is still 70% owned by the federal government.

 

But at the recession’s height in spring 2009, AIG had the audacity to press Feinberg for raises ranging from 20% to 550% for its top employees, the report said.

Backed by top Treasury aides, AIG argued that unless it got those raises, key people would leave and the government would not get its money back.

Went and bought Trilogy “Girl with Dragon Tattoo” although I hate the title -- real title “The Men Who Hate Women”.

I kept renting ever version possible on Itunes so I decided to buy the extended version.  I fast forward through all the violence.

I love Michael Nyqvist for his vulnerability which in the American remake is completely lost because Daniel Craig looks like he spends hours at the gym not doing investigative journalism.  

Craig’s body is sizzling hot but not realistic for an investigative journalist and the vulnerable sweet character than is rescued in the first book by Lisbeth.

Craig is a super hottie and no one including me would toss him about of bed but it was a mistake on Finch’s part to allow Craig to so buff, he isn’t playing James Bond.  Middle age guys tend to have paunches...ho hum.

Obsessed with this triology.  Have the books on my Iphone,  bought the books, rented and now bought the extended dvd’s.   Now I want to see the original Wallender advertised on the DVD but of course I can’t find them.  Ironic that Kenneth Branagh plays the British version of  Wallander and exudes a vulnerability that the Swedish actor doesn’t.

Beyond love Noomi Rapace in this role because she brings an old age wisdom to Lisbeth.  I love Lisbeth...beyond love.

Fast forwarding through all the violence and only watching the parts I like is much more enjoyable.  Wish I could add even more scenes with Mikel and Lisbeth as well as Plague.

I am writing to you once again to ask for your support.  If able, please attend an important Community Board 8 (CB8) meeting on Wednesday, 1/18/12 at 6:30pm.  A discussion of Ruppert Playground is on the agenda for this meeting.  As part of our presentation to the Community Board our attorney will be asking CB8 to pass a resolution stating that based on the extreme density and lack of open space within the surrounding area Community Board 8 strongly recommends to the NYC Planning Commission that any proposal to change the use of Ruppert Playground from a public recreational space to a high density development be subject to full public review thus allowing the Community Board, Borough President, City Council and the impacted community the opportunity to participate in this significant land use determination.

Pennies on the Dollar in Bankruptcy Court William Rudin dishonors his fathers charity and takes St Vincent's away as the Community asks and demands a New Hospital.  He is starting to tear down the hospital even before he has approval from the City agencies. Showing his spite for the community. All the while building 450 Luxury Apartments.  Bringing in over 1,000 new resident's to the community. With no hospital nearby for emergency needs.  The closest hospitals are at 60th Street and 1st Avenue, both miles away from the swath of 60th Street to the Battery of Manhattan.  Show you care about the health of residents, tourists, and workers in West Manhattan and sign the petition to present to Bill Rudin and Chris Quinn.  Both have the shown the "kiss of death for a new hospital" with their close ties to one another (a picture exists showing this.)

The security is to protect Rudin stealing the hospital for pennies?

 Hi All, We just received word that Rudin Management has secured the appropriate permits from the NYC Department of Buildings to begin the interior demolition and abatement of the six former St. Vincent's Hospital buildings.   Here's what they say: These are actions that must be taken regardless of the outcome of the current ULURP public approval process.  In order to properly complete these actions - and ensure the safety of the people living near and walking by the site - early next week, Turner Construction (the construction manager for the project) will build a 16 foot construction fence on the Seventh Avenue sidewalk, which will enclose the trucks that will start carting away interior debris later in the week.  A pedestrian lane will be created adjacent to the fence, and flagmen will be provided at all times when trucks are entering or exiting the enclosed area.  The construction fence will be designed in accordance with the City of New York's new Urban Canvas  guidelines. All work will be performed between the hours of 8am and 5pm and will not affect either 11th or 12th Street. No exterior or structural demolition will occur at this time. The interior demolition is likely to continue for several months.
