warning the photo of the dog is hard to bare...
I volunteered at a dog shelter and I cared for a stunning pit bull female that loved me -- she really made me feel protected but when I first met her she had just given birth had clearly been beaten and starved....her muzzle had cuts but nothing as horrific as the photo above.
She did get adopted and I believe and hope a loving home.
I watched Dog Town Mike Vick segments and they are beyond heartbreaking.
