The NYPD officer had adreline flowing through his body, it is called fight or filght so it would take a bit of time to start limping. I believe he is honest and the person at fault is Julien Chabbott. TMZ did a poll and 70 percent of close to 50,000 votes side with the NYPD officer.
However Chabbott in theory could sue the hotel for misleading him in to believing that a loading and unloading zone is private parking although if Julien could read he should have none it is not private parking. The city does not offer private parking for luxury hotels.
