Occupy Sandy Volunteer Update

VIA INTEROCCUPY.NETVIEW ONLINE
Dear Occupy Sandy Volunteers,

Please join us for the Occupy Sandy 7.5 Month Debrief:

7.5 Month Occupy Sandy Debrief
Sheepshead Bay Yacht Club
The Yacht club is a 5 min walk from the B44 Bus or a 20 min walk from the B/Q Sheepshead Bay Stop.  Directions below.

It has been seven and a half months since Superstorm Sandy made landfall, and we have all learned so much through our experiences during the aftermath.

Please join us at the Occupy Sandy Debrief this Friday.  We hope to have as much collective knowledge in the room as possible.

The Occupy Sandy debrief is a chance to reconnect with Occupy Sandy, reflect on our shared experiences, learn from the movement we helped to build, and share our lessons with others.  Extreme weather disasters will keep increasing in frequency and intensity in the months and years to come. As an Occupy Sandy network, we hope to share as many recommendations as possible with those who might face similar situations in the future.

We hope you will join us while we identify those recommendations.  Think you don’t have anything to contribute? We know you bring something to the table!  Whether you volunteered for one day or 7 months, we want to hear your perspective.  The more diversity in the room, the more we will learn.

We have already started collecting testimonials.  Watch this short clip here to see a slice of what we have collected so far:

Can’t make it to NYC?  You can participate remotely.

Participate by texting in your thoughts during the debrief.  Text @osdebrief to 23559 to join.
